My current bill for gas including all taxes and other charges is $1.66 per therm.

And to think, many on this board thought I was gouging at 6min/qrt.

It wasn't that long ago that I thought that 66 cents was a lot.

I don't remember reading any posts about gouging discussions, and
lower bills are obviously better, but if you're priced correctly you're not loosing any money. On a typical 80K BTU 30 lb dryer, if your dryer was firing at the maximum for an hour (which of course it doesn't), your cost would be $1.33 (with that $1.66/therm gas rate). If you are priced at 6min/qtr, your income is obviously $2.50 for the hour.

I was watching CNBC this morning and there was talk of 3.00 therm gas this winter, can't wait! Need to buy some dollar bill acceptors to mount on the dryers...

Speaking of electric rates. I was on a contract with Electric America. The contract expired this summer. I compared my current provider (DTE)to EM. and wouldn't you know it my bill with DTE is LOWER. When you figure in all the delivery charges and fees by the other guy I was actualy paying more per KWH. Be carefull what you sign.
