I need to redo my dryer exhaust
I have 5 Dexter stacks next to each other and need to build a telescoping manifold from 8 to 16" dia does anybody have
a source in the NY,NJ,CT area to build one?
How much should you expect to pay?
One thing is to make sure that the entrances from the dryer vent to the manifold enter at the TOP of the manifold, because lint will collect on the floor of the manifold, and may partially block the entrance if it is down low.
Also, I would enter the first dryer vent ON the end of the manifold rather than the side, to push air in the right direction.
It has been my experience that vent manufacturers are NOT familiar with our needs, they are used to moving air alone, not lint and air. It is up to you to make sure they do it the right way.
Of course all connections must be at 45 degree angle or less.
Good luck
you could build your own using spiral duct that can be sourced at any hvac shop near you or it can be ordered from multiple sources on the internet.
