Hello everybody, Just like to say great site, i've been browsing the forums for the last couple of months and am about to take over an existing mat.
My question is, Are there any service schools or seminars specifically for Wascomat Washers? I unfortunately missed the last seminar Wascomat was holding at their NY location. I've called a few of these sales events where they advertise service seminars but they're very short(30mins-1hr) and i'm looking for something more in-depth. I'm willing to travel, so if anyone knows of anything coming up rather soon i'd love a reply. Thanks!

If you are new to the business, I would wait at least 6 months before going to a more in-depth service school. You will get much more out of it then.

I'd rather not waste time and get started on knowing these machines asap. There is currently a service contract in place but the price is very high and would like to cut out that expense or at least lower it by calling them in only on more serious issues.
'm not looking into taking any electrical classes just basic stuff. Pretty much what wascomat offers in their level 1. seminar which states "Training course covers basic machine maintenance, diagnostic steps to identify and to fix operational malfunctioning." It's a 4 hour class and think it would be a nice start, but I don't see any other schools or seminars like this dealing specifically with Wascomat
I did find one from a company called HK Laundry Eq. but they don't list any factory engineers from Wascomat, but from Heubsch, Speed Queen, Unimac, and Rowe. It's a 6 hr class and sounds simialr to the . of the Wascomat course. Do you think I will be able to apply alot of this class to my Wascomat machines?

Mark is absolutely correct, You sound like you have your mind made up. But if I was new to the Mat business I would listen to Mark.
If your on a service plan watch and learn from the tech they send.
It's then one on one.
Think ? we are not saying don't just give yourself break in time
Luca laundry(super Laundry) 908-862-2200 has free service seminars on speed queen washer and dryer on sep 27th and 28th,
most of washer and dryer work similarly,

I have attended the Wascomat service school in NY, and found it very worthwhile. Contact your local Wascomat distributor for the schedule and contact information. They don't even charge you. (They ask you to send them a check for $50 to hold your place in class. When you actually show up, they give it back to you!)
