do you do anything special when a syringe shows up in a dryer?
its a diabetic syringe - barrel & plunger stuck in one of the air holes in the dryer drum, the cap fell into the lint cavity. the rotation grinded away a large portion, and no sign of the needle portion. I would kind of like to know it gets disposed of properly, but want to avoid sticking myself with it.

I have a customer freaking out ask to have her stuff rewashed, which I'm doing. It was mostly darks and poly/nylon types so she had the dryer on medium, and rewashing on cold because of the fabrics.
I was tempted to ruin her clothes with bleach & hot water

God only knows how many communicable diseases or addictive substances her clothes can recieve.

My response - Did you (the customer) check the dryer before use?

You guys are worried about an insulin syringe... contaminants, poisons, blood ... oh my!

It is the things that you CANNOT see going through your machines on a daily basis that would probably send you into cardiac arrest. Blood, puke, snot, urine, semen, vaginal secretions, grease, motor oil, antifreeze .... the list goes on and on...

If you want to see something scary, take a black light to your washers and dryer drums one day. The results and remains of hot water and $2.99 detergent might just surprise you!
