I am retooling an existing store and will have a grand opening. What do you think is the best grand opening promotion to bring in new business?

Do it neatly not sloppy.

If possible try to hang them from a pole directly above your sign so to make them noticeable from a far.

I gave out balloons to the kids and drinks (sodas) and chips.
I once gave out laundry bags with my company name on it 100 or so laundry bags, pricy then but even if they when to another Mat my name showed up

I am planning a BBQ type thing on a Sat in the next month or two now that the heat is dying down for my grand opening.
Free hot dogs, chips, soda, etc, sort of a small block party
I plan to let people double their money by matching whatever they want to put on their card that day also.
