Competitor asks for my help!!!!!

I only have one competitor in town and he had the balls to show up at my store this morning asking me to help fix one of his dryers!!!!!!!!

I help my competitor all the time,I also sold a few arcade games to them.It is not big deal,we all try to make a little money.

He just bought the place about 4 months ago. His partner worked at the store I bought for 11 years. I found out he has been stopping by my store when I am not there to try and get my customers to come to his store. There has been many othere things that the guy has done to try and screw us. Plus this town is not big enough for two mats. When i bought my place 1.5 years ago that place was in sad shape and no one went there. So there was no competition.


I am all for being freindly but this guy tries to screw me and then asks for my help when he needs me. I did not tell him off. But did tell him I could not help cause it was a priblem i had never encountered and had no idea how to fix.

The guy is an idiot. I asked him if he had torn apart one of the top loaders yet. His response was - no they are cheap enough if one has a problem I will just go buy a new one. Well I hope he does

In my opinion you did the right thing.This is one of those arrogant "i know everything and I deserve everything people" I am all for helping anyone but this guy simply has not earned anything and does not deserve any help.

Yeah, Kari now I remember your story your right to be irked at this one. But usually killing with kindness and keeping enemies the closest is the best answer to a sweet revenge in the end...:)

Well,you did not tell us the full story in the first post.
If you are a good serviceman,they are willing to pay a service call,charge them!
Customers go where ever they want to go,give best service and price,that is all you can do.I know some customers go to both my stores and my competiors store,I even have one emplyee works in my store and competior store.
If you really don't like them,just say no!
I feel I should keep eyes on my competiors but no reason to hate them.
