One of my Maytag 14PD washer is not spinning or tumbling. All other functions seems to be working okay; water comes and goes out during diag. cycle. The help code translates to something related to "rotor", which is all cryptic to me. Has anyone ever face this problem and if so, what was the culprit and how did you fixed it?

check drive belt

The drive belt is tight and secure with no visible damage.

Sounds like your motor board is fried. There is an upgrade kit available with a new style board and motor that is not to expensive...under $175 list I think. PM me if you need help checking the board.

If you have more than 1 machine than begin to swap part.

Motor controller board, computer board, motor ...

If the motor is bad, you will just run the risk of frying another board. I have sent these boards to ALJ in the past, and the success rate is about 50%...considering the cost of the repaired board and shipping it makes more sense to just install the upgrade kit.
