I am waiting for one more part to complete this bearing job. I did not post an out of order sign, should I have? Someone tried to use the washer

If the washer is going to be out for a while,I will always put some newspaper or something to conver the soap box, otherwise people always put soap and bleach in.

People check their common sense at the door sometimes. I was replacing a row of toploaders several years ago and had them all scattered up near the window awaiting hauling away...you could clearly see the the power cords and water tubing lying on the ground - you guessed it, a guy put his laundry in one, ran the coin slide, and wondered why the washer didn't start. I had to put up signs that they were not to be used!

I dunno ... is it just common sense that you would NOT put an out of order sign on a machine?

Customers come in to wash their clothes and use the first available machine they see. You must take this into consideration!

It doesn't really matter,
If you put the out of order sign Spanish side up, the english only people lift it and put quarters in then complain
If you put it English side up, you guessed it.
Tape the out of order down so they can't put quarters in and they put clothes in the tub anyway.
So to answer the question, 4 out of order cards are needed for each washer or dryer that is out of order, 1 spanish, 1 english over the coin slot taped down, 1 spanish 1 english taped on the lid or door, and just to be safe, tape the door closed.
Just go ahead and fill the soap, bleach and fabric softner because you can't stop it. trust me, I have tried.

yes, I was short the Circplip thing, the ring that holds the bearing. It is very rusty and I don't want to reuse it. I ordered one, but got one for a 25# washer. I have been trying to get the right one, and now waiting again. These parts are not readliy available it seems.
