I have a milnor 35#. The machine will run through the cycle, but the drum will not turn at all. The motor is running and the belts in the back are moving without a problem. Any suggestions?

Is this a single motor or two motor machine? Need more info if you want help.

I am not familiar with a milnor so I am just guessing if the motor and belts are moving but the drum is not, maybe a sheared key in the shaft or a broken shaft to the drum.

This machine has 2 motors

Take the rear panel off and tell me if the large pulley in the rear is turning at any time between the start and the finish of the cycle. If so is the shaft it is mounted on also turning?

The machine has two electrically operated clutches...one on the shaft at the upper right corner of the control area, and one on the rear of the larger motor. Check to see if you are getting voltage to the clutches by back probing the connectors with your meter. (check the front one first) If not, your problem is most likely one of the rectifiers (square shaped doohickies with 4 terminals on the side wall of the control panel). There is an outside chance that the transformer is the problem...look to see if it looks charred or burned.

Joseph, what good is your advise unless you tell him what voltage to look for?

Joshp615, stick with me on this one, I have been a Milnor tech for 30 years. Answer my questions one at a time and we'll get her running.
