Folks,

I have AMD-285 machines and these have Airpax coin acceptors. Some abusive customers have broken the little black button that you push should the quarter gets stuck in it. There is a warn-out label on the back of the coin acceptor that reads:

Airpax
Frederic, MD
100 Series
125-00168 8638

I have googled the above info but no luck.

I looked at the manual and it does not list this button as a separate part, which leads me to believe that I have to buy the whole new coin acceptors. But, the coin acceptors are working just fine. From the looks of the assembly, the button can be easily replaced if I can find some.

Any ideas where I can get this buttons and the attached spring?

The Airpax mech is no longer made and for good reason. A new Greenwald mech is available. Part # 125100, list price is $184.38.

MrsNewMat,

Look at the parts breakdown drawings of the '80s era Huebsch & Speed Queen Dryers. You will find the part number of the identical button & can then specify it on an order. If you still need them I could try to locate them for you if you give me a little time. It seems like I got some of the buttons about a year ago or so.

Thanks to all who replied.

MJWalsh – I do not have access to '80s era Huebsch & Speed Queen Dryers. To be quite honest, I do not even know what these dryers look like and don’t know where to begin the search.

I need couple of those buttons. If there are couple more as spare, even better.

MrsNewMat,

Cut & past or click this into your browser.

http://www.laundryparts.com/sunshop/index.php?action=item&id=1396&prevaction=search&previd=&prevstart=0

I called the company & the parts person said that it might take about a week to get it but he was pretty sure he could still get it & it is still made. If you find out something different please let me(us) know.

If the link doesn't work type "81312J" at www.laundryparts.com in their part number "Search".
