Just to let you Aurora washer owners know that you should make sure that the drain hose is not touching anything such as a pipe or concrete floor. If so it will wear away at that point rather quickly and you will have a leak when it pumps out. The plastic material they use in very thin and the action of the pump makes the hose move and thus the friction against anything it touches. It would be nice if they had a clamp on the washer so the hose wouln't dangle. So Continental, How about it? And please don't insult me by telling me you don't have a problem with the hoses. I replaced countless hoses because of this reason.

Its just another reason why not to own a Aurora.

The Hose supplied is indeed THIN material, & it is a basic plastic, not durable rubber.
Also, i can confirm that the pump action does make it wiggle and jump ALOT, so tying it down is mandatory.

HOWEVER, Continental DOES provide a plastic inverted 'U'-shaped Clamp to affix it to your standpipe - so i give them a nod for doing so.

Marc: perhaps your client never removed the U-Clamps from their plastic bags, or wasn't aware of them - they are light blue in color & very light weight - easy to overlook.

FYI, even w/ the clamp, i still add an additional 'wire-tie' around the clamp/hose/drainpipe to secure it all in place.

Yes, they do provide a inverted u shaped plastic piece that as you state is used to bend the hose so it fits in a standpipe. It wasn't overlooked and it serves no useful purpose other than bending the hose thus making a "U". It will not keep the hose from hitting the floor or pipes or machine.

And as for giving Continental some credit, I have contacted Continental on more than one occasion about several issues and there response was to call the distributor that I deal with and get them to not allow me to do business with them. The only credit I give them is they are very good at keeping things under the rug.

Folwer is the distributor's name.
Most companies and their dealers don't realy care the quality of the new machines, they just want to sell new machines.
