does anyone know why in the class actions and settlements for the Neptune washers it does not include my model numbers MAH14PD I have had my 7 front loaders since 1999 and 2000 with just a few problems, until in the last 2 weeks I have had two go down bad, one blew 2 main control boards till I found out it was the wax door switch, now it seems ok but very expensive, and then the other day another MAH14 blew the 10amp fuse on the motor control board and the manual says change the whole board but I am told the board is not for sale on its own but in a kit with the motor as well, and both have to be changed because they don't interfit, bit expensive for a 10amp fuse!!, I have had a few mould problems as well, which all this is exactly the same as the domestic models, so, why we not included, or are 5 year old MAH14's in mats past their sell by date ??

Yes you were told correct the Emerson SRD is no longer available and for good reason, it was and is a piece of :eek::eek::eek:. You must get the kit with includes a new motor and motor controller. It is so so so much better than the original. The reason is its a Commercial machine so it is not included in the case action.

thanks marc fitted the new control board and motor today it was very easy to fit with precise instructions in the box, still not happy with the expense of these design faults though, so do you think that a new wax motor door switch on all my seven Mah 14 pd will save my main boards for a while, and then wait for each motor control board to go bad, then fit new motors and boards, will this give my neptunes a new lease of life? ?. Shame on Maytag for not sorting us out, we won,t be talking up maytag or buying new ones will we ??

The wax motor issue is not a problem on the commercial machine because of the way the commercial boards switch power to the wax motor. The domestic machines use a triac and the comercial ones use a relay thus a problem with the commercial units due to wax motor failure are slim.
Usually when the commercial board does fails (as a result of the wax motor) it tends to blow a trace on the board next to the relay which is easily fixed.

I wouldn't change the wax motor or motor contoller kit unless it fails or makes you sleep better at nite.

thanks for that Marc, the first main control board which was blown by my bad wax motor switch burnt a hole in the plastic case of the relay on the board, the second board that this same wax motor switch blew had just one burn on the track near the relay, I do not know how to repair these boards any help would be appreciated, and as I purchased a new swtich and third board and the machine is now ok, if I could repair these two boards I would have two very valuable spares !!, I have read what you say about neptunes domestic verses neptunes commercial but my problems sound remarkably similar to the domestic claims problems, especially when I have got the motor control board fault as also listed on the domestics list of class action faults on one of my other MAH 14, I,m amazed no one else has had these faults on their commercial neptunes and not linked their problems with the class action ??

The relays are available from many electronics supply houses, and just solder a wire onto the board to replace the burnt trace...determine two contacts that the burned trace connected and just jump out with the wire.
