New to the business and am having the following problems:

One of my ADC stacks kept causing the breaker to shut off when both dryers were being used at the same time. I thought it was a weak breaker so I switched it out with a new one. Of course this didn't solve the problem. Now the bottom dryer won't spin (the breaker still shuts off when both dryers are on). I took off the facing and cannot locate anything that is stuck and preventing the spinning and the belt appears to be fine. Could it be the motor is bad and is heating up thus causing the breaker to shut off? Any possibilities for me to check are greatly appreciated.

Additionally, I have a standard change maker that is giving me the error code of PWRFLT. It seems to be working fine, accepts money, gives the proper quarter count, gives the correct bill take-in audit. Any ideas as to what I need to do to correct this error code?

Thanks!

Most likely you have a bad motor.

Thankfully it wasn't the motor (at $400). One of the fins on the blower cage snapped off and bent and jammed the blower. Once I riveted it back on and straightened it out it works fine. The only tough part was getting the bearing flange off to get access to the cage. I don't think that had been removed in 20 years.

The blower you repaired. It the blower balanced? Many times after a blower breaks repairs is difficult. Keep a close eye on this excessive vibration will cause more damage. The bearing is a pain. Get some rust buster and let it soak in overnight if possible.

Is it a 500E/600? If so, there is a power board that can be replaced. I am told you can do it yourself. Call Standard, they will tell you and send you the part.

The "Power fault" cause by weak power supply(power board),not the bill accepter,it happens a lot after you update the software, some Sys 500 is over 20 years old.
If the changer works OK,I won't worry about that,if not ,buy a new ps from Standard Changer ,it is very easy to change, may take 10-30 mins.

When we recently put in a new power supply because of a similar problem we found out eventually that we had a very concealed hard to find loose 110v connection in our hopper motor capacitor area. The pwr fault error was the most frequent but we also had a clue from the hopper errror too. Hope this helps.
