I have Wascomat TD 30/30 that starts but the drum doesn't rotate. However when I give the drum a little push, it starts to spin.

Sounds like the motor.

Could just be the capacitor on the motor. A motor capacitor provides the little extra juice needed to get the motor going. I had the same problem on some old SQ dryers, they would either not turn or turn slowly when you started them but if you used your hands to get them going they would work fine. Replacing the capacitor fixed the problems.

That's my guess too. also when is the last time you oiled the motor(if not sealed),or vacuum it?

One more thing BE CAREFUL WHEN CHANGING -Capacitor.

In my younger days I learned the hard way you DON'T--lol ouch !!!;(

Who oils dryer motors? I have never oiled a dryer motor.

On some of the older ones there are caps.
Nower days they are sealed.

I have one TD3030 that does something similar. Insert coin, press start, fan starts and heater lights. Open and close the door, press start and the tumbler kicks in.

Either The Motor Or The 8 Mfd Capacitor (there Are Several In The Dryer) CHECK ALL THE CAPS WITH THE APPROPRIATE TESTER

I just bought 6 used Wascomat stack with old quarter
rotary coin insert . Do you know how old this machine is? I
was told 8 year old. This board this a great place to learn.

Wascomat did not manufacturer any dryers untill the TD's. yours are probably made by IDC if they have a rotary mech. Wasco used dryers mfg by alliance and ADC, but I beleive only the IDCs had rotory mechs. Probably about 10-12 years old.
