I heard someone in St Pete lost an American Changer last nite, they took it out of the wall. This was happening a few years ago, so relook at how secure your changers are, and how they are mounted.

American changer has the weak steal box,it can be opened very easy.I think all Ameriacn changer should have extra padlock.
Someone broke in my store, opened the American AC1002 a few years ago, could not open the Standard SC62 and SC94,I ordered a security system ,before the system arrived, they came back 2 weeks
later, removed the Sc62 from the wall.I think a good security system is very important.

I would say no system can stop professional thief, these guy travel town to town until they get arrest. More lock will take them longer to open but they will use welder to cut metal or take a whole thing.

Ken, how on earth did they manage to take out an SC62 out of the wall ?

Short of sawzalling the entire studwall around it - i'd say its not possible.

I guess they used sawzell to cut it out since they could not open the first time.

Thinking about a way to increase security on this changer : What did you do to prevent it from happening again ? (assuming you put in a Front-Loading Changer again)

I replaced with 2 rear load changers and 2 free standing changers, the doors, free standing changer all wired with ADT security system alerm. Those changers were not easy to open or remove,it take time ,when the alerm set off,I don't think anyone will stay.I also add 2 safes in the office,so if anyone want to steal from me,they will have to try much harder!
I did the best I can without make changers look too bad.
