I'm a new owner so I don't even know the exact model of the machine off the top of my head. It's a Primus triple loader and what is happening is that every third or fourth time it's used, the timer sticks in pre-wash. 3 times this week I've had to turn the power off to unlock the door so the customer can get their clothes out. Then I spray some WD-40 on the timing mechanism and accelerate through a complete cycle. Then it seems to work fine until the next 3rd or 4th time someone uses it. Any suggestions? Or do I need to replace the timer?

"NEVER"spray any type of oil on a timer. If you don't need a timer, you soon will. I suggest you "re-spray " with a good no flash point contact cleaner.
Lets go back to the origional problem: Check that water is entering the machine and that the drain valve is functioning properly. ie.... good water fill on all temps amd no drain valve leak by.

WD-40 is not the answer to all problems. I wish people would stop making that company rich by using the stuff unnecessarily.

Ouch! I've now been properly chastised in regard to WD40. The former owner of the mat has been kind enough to help me out so far and come down to help me fix some problems at which time he used WD40 thinking it would help the timer move. I worked on this problem some more over the weekend and the water seems to be filling and draining properly. Yesterday, I used the advance button to get out of the prewash cycle and it went through the remaining cycles without a problem. Then I tested it again and it did not get stuck on the prewash. 4 people then used the machine over the next few hours so it seems to be working for now. However, the problem still remains. I'm sure I will be having another problem within the next few days of it getting stuck in prewash again. Any additional suggestions outside of the filling and draining?
