I POSTED THIS AWHILE AGO ""Try holding the door switch in with door open, press start and see if the drum will start with a little help, ie turn by hand see if the motor takes it from there. In that case it is a motor problem. I have had that happen a couple times.""

I had this problem recenty, I took the motor out and a shop looked at it, it needed new contacts. Maybe Marc can say if this can be done without taking the motor out.

Just because he pushed it in to reset it doesn't mean he fixed it. You need to find out why it tripped in the first place or you'll be reseting it again soon. Perhaps the damper is getting stuck or not opening fully due to lint buildup.

Lint build up is a common problem for Dexter stacks. The dampers over-lap each other and open upwards, so lint falling back down the duct will sit on top of the damper and prevent it from opening fully...cleaning these periodicly is especially important if the duct from the dryer enters the main trunk from the bottom. Look at the back of your dryers, and if the wiring diagrams have all burned off the upper units a more in depth inspection of your duct work is due.
