I have W-184 where the entire outer shell that houses the Basket has shifted about 4 to 5 inches to the right (if your looking from the front of the machine), in essense ripping off the metal plate that was connected from the shell to the back panel.

It also knocked off the big black hose in the back that was connected to air inlet.

I do not know what caused this. The basket is moving freely and machine is operational except that since the hose in the back that connects to the air-inlet is off and it is spilling lot of water in the back.

Any idea how the shell could have shifted and how to turn it back to the original location?

Thanks

I have seen this twice before ( in 20+ years of service) Both times cylinder bearing related. One drum was frozen. the other had a bearing rumble. disassembly proved it to be worse then it indicated.

Check the cylinder clamping bands and the integrity of the gable.
