I will give them a call. I have another wacking out now. Has IPSO done a factory recall on these ?? Any class action going on? I am ready to junk 3 year old washers. Real Disappointment. The washers are great, the operting system, ie, boards, suck real bad. I saved money on water and spent it on repairs.:(

First off, before you say it sucks and talk about class action suits why not describe what specific problem you are having with them. Error codes?
I happen to know a lot about them and can help you if you are willing to be helped. If I can't give you the answer then I can direct you to someone at IPSO USA who can.

So how about it???

Out of 11 washers, I have had to replace 17 micro boards and 3 motor print boards in just under 3 years.
The most common error code was not-3 or E-3 not-3 was bad motor board, E-3 was bad micro board, they all had E-3 at least once, some on the 2nd or 3rd board now.
I now have not-2 which Ipso now thinks is the motor, which they tell me it may have burned out the boards with it. I pulled the motor and bench tested as they told me, it ran fine. Then they told me that test really doesn't prove anything. I have a motor on order.
The washer next to it, which I used to swap boards also was working fine, now it starts up, door locks, washer spins for a min, then shuts down completely. Then the unit fires back up reset to accept money again. I remember this happening before, and think it was a board problem. IPSO has told me it might be a water valve, or door switch.
My money is on the motor print board, at $411 each, and maybe a micro board at $711 each. I have spent countless hours fixing these things, swapping boards, always trying everything IPSO says then swapping boards.
They admit this machine has had board problems and was some sort of swap offered a few years ago, seems about the time I bought mine. I drove to the factory and looked at them before I bought, met with Tracy Mummend, and asked directly what kind of problems should I expect,as I know every machine has issues. He said the door handle ( which I have replaced 5 so far) He never mentioned the board problems.
About a year into the washers, I had replaced about 7 micro boards and 2 motor boards, and was very worried. I callled Bob Eisnenburg, then head of US sales. I told him I was going to be screwed when the warranty ran out, he assured me not to worry, I would be taken care of.
One machine needed another board 2 months after the warranty ran out, and i did get another board. I asked about swapping or updates or anything, no answer. Now I need a couple more boards. I am going to send them to AJ, at $149 each to fix it is cheaper. I hope I see something at the clean show to replace the washers with. I may very well start a class action suit. The money I saved in water has been outstripped by my time and money spent on repairs.
The boards suck. And IPSO knows it. I would be happy to meet at Clean and show you my stack of RMA 's and my letters about my problems to IPSO. Maybe I am writting to the wrong person.

Is this the same board on all Ipso washers?

All the boards that say E3 are fine. There is nothing wrong with them. You need to simply remove the chip installed on the board and replace it with a
"VEND SET" chip available from your local IPSO dealer. Power up / power down replace the original chip and reset prices and you'll be back in business.

"The washer next to it, which I used to swap boards also was working fine, now it starts up, door locks, washer spins for a min, then shuts down completely. Then the unit fires back up reset to accept money again."

This one sounds like the motor overload relay is either bad/misadjusted for the washer motor installed or the motor is bad. Ipso had many motors made by Henning that were rejects. There are black in color.

I am sorry you are having so many issues with the board and while I will agree its not the best board around it certainly isn't the worst. Since I have been working for a IPSO distributor I can say that I really have few problems with them and the ones that I do have are mostly the chip that I have talked about earlier.

What can I say, you have bad luck.

I bought the eprom to fix the vend price for $25, even though IPSO should have given it to me after replacing, at that time, about 80% of the boards. Funny thing, it never fixed one board. There was always an error at the end of the reset. Another time wasted task I use on every board. Yesterdays board now has not-1 code flashing, so I know it is a motor board control issue. I have sent a couple boards to ALj to check out, they seem to know the problems exist, that I need. I can't wait to buy another motor for $280 for a 3 year old washer! Let's see, $411 for a motor board, $712 for a micro board, $280 for a motor. I am going to try something else. Top loaders for $600 each.
How can a board that has failed 100% of the time within 2 years not be the worst???
