What is the difference between going to the Clean Show as a member or non-member of CLA?
I know that the entry fee to the show itself is $45 regardless, but what about any of the other things that may be of value - seminars, dinner, cocktails, etc.
Thanks!

In years past CLA hosted a nite for the members, dinner, drinks, dancing. I noticed this year, according to thier site, you have to sign up for that nite now and it cost $$$. The seminars seem to be the only thing they have to offer, I wonder how regulated it is, ie, can anyone go in and listen? I am not saying don't join CLA, but charging for the dinner now?

Yes, Jon..
Coinwash.com is attending Clean 05........you'd better have gotten the tix, that is your dept!:) I believe the official Coinwash.com headquarters location will determined very soon and we hope to get a list of each of you that will be attending!
CLA member dinner is charging for one reason only, my guess is because the 2003 five star campaign has not paid off as anticipated and therefore I am guessing the powers in charge cannot justify footing the bill on dinner at the show. A shindig like the cla dinner that is put on to that extent would cost over 25K....if they can get the members to pay it...why not. Why should the cla? If the cla can get the members to pay and justify why they need the members to pay it while getting the members to understand the reasonings.....all the better for the cla. I however, just wouldn't be one of those that would be swallowing the bs. In MHO members should be pitching a hissy fit!

To clarify the answer to the original question.........
From the Cleans show website......
"Registration includes admission to the exhibit hall and all educational sessions. The pre-registration fee is $45 a person. Deadline for pre-registration is June 1, 2005. After June 1, registrations will be processed on-site, at a cost of $70 per person."
This appears to me that there is no benefit at all to be a member of any organization to attend the clean 2005 event.
But decide for yourselves what you think?
