I am thinking about buying small dry Cleaner business in my town, and combining it with my existing unattending Mat. Does anyone have advice for me.

I have owned my mat for 2 years now. I just stopped the Dry-cleaning 2 weeks ago. I did bulk Dry-cleaning, charging 2.50 per pound. Just found it to be a real pain. The Dry-cleaning accounted for about 5% of my gross, 50% of the problems. My machine broke a few weeks ago and I decided to just stop it. With the space I free up I will probably put in 2 50LB washers and a few stack dryers. You will probably find my carousel on Ebay next week.
Years ago there were a lot of mats around here that had D/C machines in them, I am the last. Must be a reason.

I do bulk drycleaning for 3.50 a pound. The machine came with the mat I bought. Bulk drycleaning brings in around 12-15K a year for about 1K of supplies. Also it keeps my attendent busy between WDF. I also find that the people who drop off dry cleaning eventually drop off comforters and WDF. With the cost of these machine new I probably wouldn't buy one but I'll fix the old one until it gets too expensive or the EPA regulates too much (which is starting to happen).

We had drop-off dry cleaning when we first opened. Very profitable, but it accounted for 99.5% of problems.

My family ran a full service drycleaner and a laundromat next door for over 10 years,we closed the drycleaner made laundromat bigger.A drycleaner is almost like in a food business,it is a full time job.I am much happier without drycleaner.
If you buy a cleaner, you will have to deal with EPA,fire inspeter, you may have to deal OSHA in some area.

My mat is a pick up station for dry cleaning. I split the profit with the cleaners. All I do is tag the clothing, they clean and bag the cloths. Customers come and pick up. Not much of a headache, does pretty good... between 500-1000 dollars a week.
