I got a card in the mail about a seminar in Dallas for laundry operators, but it appears more for wannabees. It looks like another industry conference to sell more equipment. I imagine it will be a "you'll make a fortune and only work a couple of hours per week" type seminar.

Perhaps some of you guys in the DFW area could go and get the sponsors to explain how much money one makes with some laundries in the Dallas and Houston area offering 50 cent toploader prices. Also, ask them why there is so much repossessed equipment in the back of the Journal every month.

Tell them you saw their Name on Coinwash.com

I wish I could go, but it's 300 miles one way trip for me.
If anyone can go, post back here and let us know how cheesy it was.

CLA sponsored seminars are overpriced. You can learn much more from Coinwash.com If you are trully a laundry virgin, then go ahead but if you've been in the biz even a short while save your money. I'm looking forward to seeing our group at the Clean Show!

The more I go to these conferences, the more I get the impression that the rountables, and meetings are used and sponsored by equipment sellers to promote THEIR product and lead us to believe that this business is fail proof, easy, and the most profitable industry in the country. Oversaturation, commodity pricing, and cannalbalistic competition are rarely mentioned, if at all.

I do like to see new technology and such, but do feel that the shows are pep rallies for manufacturers to get as many people in the industry as they can.

And yes, thanks to,Coinwash.com for this board. I've learned more here in a year than the last 22 I've been in the business.

Just my .02 worth
