Hi everyone,

I've been caught up in a bunch of things lately and haven't been on much.

Florida's snowbird season has ended and things are pretty slow. We're thinking of approaching nearby businesses for pickup on wdf.

What are your favorite types of account and why? Any pointers on pricing?

I'm curious about chiropractors but am not even sure what they typically have done.

Thanks much,
Bon

I don't know about Chiropractors, but I have done a few accounts with Physical Therapist and they can be very good accounts. The current one I have is about $250 a month and they just inform me today that they are building their own building and that they will be expanding thier business and I would be seeing a good increase. These people are Indian or Pakistani and I was a little leary of them at first from past experences, but they are the best poeple in the world.

I also have an account from a janitorial compamy that has blossomed into $750.00 a month.

The thing is pick your companies carefully. Meet with the owners and if they seem like good people that are on the rise, help them and they will help you, it's like a partnership.

The Janitorial Co. started with just a few buildings and they were just a small account, 7 years later and they clean 80 buildings including a Toyota plant. I mainly do thier mops at .70 each

I pick up and deliver to these two companies and I often wondered in is was worth it, well it is now and they continually get bigger.

I've had several others that flopped so keep trying.

I am almost done with my "commercial wing" at my mat. I am adding 2 18# & 1 35# washers & 2 single tumbler dryers to get things going. The space is designed for 4 35# washers & 3 doube tumbler dryers if needed.

I don't want to take the machines away from my self serve customers or my regular WDF customers.

I will be targeting hair salons, butchers, small diners & restaurats (the large ones have linen rentals), nai salons, tanning salons, etc.

There are alot to chose from and the pricing will be different accordingly. You could charge per piece or by the pound. Just make sure that commercial customers pay a higher premium than your regular customers pay.

How are you going to press the linens for the restaurants?

Most smaller diners & restaurants around me don't have linens. I would target there uniforms, aprons, towels, etc.

Need advice on pursuing wash & fold accounts. What are some different businesses I can target?? Any ideas beside the traditional accounts - nail salon, hair salon, gym, etc. Thanks

Find your nearby hospital, which is surrounded by many medical practices. Circulate your fliers to them personally. Many small accounts that are close to one another can be very profitable.
