One of my old Neptunes will not spin. The other night when I came in the machine in question had soap powder all over the top. Someone must have tried to dump a 5 gal pale into it. There must have been 2 or 3 cups piled up around the soap door, who knows how much went in the machine. Ever since the machine will not spin. I ran it 3 times with lots of fabric softner, still the same. It does drain . Is there something else that could be clogged from all that soap?

Same thing happens to a SQ SC model front loader, the pressure switch tube is most likely clogged, not allowing the pressure switch to reset, makes the washer think it has water in the tub and won't allow spin. Take the tube off the pressure switch and blow it out.

Are you saying that at the end of the cycle there is water in it?

If so then you either have something stuck in the pump or the fins on the pump are damaged. Remove the pump from the washer and disassemble the pump and remove the item if any and then reinstall, or purchase a new pump.

If the washer is just not spinning but is draining then you could have a bad door locked sense switch. It can be replaced with a check switch part # 207166.

Although certainly possible it is unlikely that the air hose is clogged.

There was no water at the end of the cycle. But I ran it one more time before taking anything apart and it worked fine, and has been fine all day. I don't know what happened???? I guess just to much soap???? Thanks for the help
