Huebsch 32DG

Insert quarter press start and starts for a second and stops (drum makes a half of turn) and says door for sec and then press start again.

I have swapped computer.
Checked Door switch, lint draw switch and rear belt cover switch. Do you think it could be the motor?

thanks

It may be the harness's connection to the computer or the short jumper harness to the rear. Is is common forthem to get burnt up due to overcurrent through the pin. Check the harness for loose or burnt pins.

Also I have seen the basket hit the wires to the door switch and cut them . Its possible that what is left of the wires are breaking contact with each other when you start the dryer. Remove front and check the wires to the door switch and tape them to the side of the dryer so they won't hit the drum.

Door wires look fine and short jumper and computer wire pins looked good. Any other ideas?

Thanks

There is also a coin box switch and an EDC switch but I am not sure if either one will give you a door open signal.

Can't imagine any motor problem that would give you a door open signal.

Three questions;
1 - Does a Huebsch 32DG use the same computer as SQ 300DRG?
2 - When was the dryer built? (first 4 digits of S/N are year-month)
3 - When you swapped the computer was it with a new one or from another dryer?
I have SQ 300DRGs. All built from 2/2000 - 5/2000. Two years ago I had dryers going down with the same symptoms. I had 5 go down in one day! Defective computers. Bad ones have a white plastic box soldered on board. SQ replaced all of them. Don't expect them to say anything unless you bring it up. It's a "silent recall" Supposedly they'll replace them regardless if still under warranty or not.

I had same symtoms of Hueschb stack dryers. I swapped PC with other dryers, the problem follows.

Three times, I had the PC fixed: the Motor RELAY is bad. That's all.

The last time I had same problem, The PS Electronics in NY replaced the motor relay and somehow shortcircuit the board. He claimed the PC is unrepairable and try to give me $10 for the core. I got the core back now, but it is shorcircuited. If you could find the relay, you can fix it yourself.

The model Is JTD 32DG.

I checked continuity on lint draw switch and was fine. I also by passed the switch, still didnt work.

I swapped computer with working dryer and problem did not follow.

I changed the door switch and checked the wires.

I have voltage going thru belt guard switch.

Computer harness and short jumper looked fine.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Try removing the belt from the rear by tapeing or otherwise hold the belt guard switch in place and then start dryer. See what happens. The motor should turn. Dryer will not have heat but it should run.

I found a wire with a cut in it running under the lint compartment.
