I have two seperate problems on different dryers.
One dryer works perfect for usually 3 weeks, then all of a sudden it will stop turning with 3 minutes left on it. The dryer stops, no heat but counts down properly. Once through, the dryer works perfect again.

The second problem is with another dexter dryer. It works fine for usually 1-2 weeks then all of a sudden has no heat. I press the reset button and everything goes back to normal for like 1-2 weeks etc. i was wondering if it could be the ignitor? Already replaced the computer board.
thanks, Adam

Assuming its a stack dryer we are talking about lets take the second problem first. Remove the vent that is attached to the dryer and clean any lint that has accumulated on top of the damper flap causing it not to open fully. Also check the main vent for any lint buildup. Aside from that make sure the lint draw compartment is clean especially in the rear.

As for the first problem it sounds like the computer. Try swapping it with another dryer.

your problem # 2 I had before. If you get lint build up in the box behind the dryer, it can kick that limit switch. It is no fun to clean out, but I managed to get it done. I took off the reset switch and thermostat thing. I duct taped 1/2 " cooper tube, maybe it was conduit, to the vac hose, it would fit in the hole the switch sat in. Little by little, I got chunks of lint. I had a couple pieces of tubing, a 45 degree, so I could get most corners. Once cleaned, no trouble since.

You're sure handy with that Vac-rigging, Pete :)
I'll try that next time - with a variation: There's a product called 'Pex' (home depot, etc.) which is used now for flexible water piping. (it is spec'd as equiv. to 1/2" copper tubing)
It has an advantage over conduit, in that it won't tend to buildup Lint along the ridges - because it is smoothwall.
