Ipso Noise

I have an Ipso 25 pounder that has alot of noise, sounds like it is coming from the motor, except when it's in spin. I put some 2X4s under the motor to lift it up a hair and the noise quieted down some. Are we talking motor bearings or tub bearings?

high pitch noise is usually the motor bearings.

low pitch rumble is usully the tub bearings.

Remove the belt and spin the basket by hand and run the washer to check.

OK took belt off and the noise is in the motor what i do not understand is why it does not do it in spin cycle.
Got any ideas how much it cost to put the bearings in??

No more than 15 dollars (bearings), a bearing puller from Sears and a little labor on your part.
