W74 Light stays on

I just replaced a timer on a w74 and now the light stays on untill the door is opened then it goes out but if you close the door again it comes back on..Did I screw up??

check your door switch,the upper one by itself .
If the switch is stock,door light will be on all the time.
You could miss wire something too but check door switch anyway.
