I have some old 30eg speedqueen dryers.
Lately, one dryer has been going through a lot of flame sensors, the rectangular one that reads the glow bar. I replaced one last week and its already failing. When you tap on it it will work for a while anyway. What goes on with these things. Could excessive vibration of the machine shortened the life span of these sensors. And could someone explain to me how this particular part of the circuit works.

Check and see how clean your flame is in that dryer compared to others. It may be burning rich and sooting up the window.
Also check to see if it is mounted in the right position along with the globar position and check all the wires to the gas valve for tight connections.

How exactly does the Glo-bar behave when the dryer is trying to heat? Does it come on for about 40 seconds? Does it go off? When it goes off, does the gas valve click? Does the burner then ignite? Does the flame on the burner bend to the right? Or does it stand straight up?

The glo-bar will come come on and stay on
until I tap the sensor. Then glo-bar turns off
while simultaneously main gas valve will open and gas fires up.
After thermostat is satisfied flame shuts down and is now set for next cycle. However it may work or it may do again what I just described.
Thanx to all for your answers.

SQ Globar is always pain.
Most(all) new dryers don't have them because they are not a good system.
The Golbar ,Globar stocket, sensor go bad often.
Why don't you try a Ram kit?SQ dryer is very easy to convert.

Most likely the glo bar is weaker than it should be thus not giving off enough heat to trip the sensor. Trust me on this, replace the glo bars and see if the sensor problems go away.
