I have a Maytag/Unimac AT35 208v 3 phase washer that is blowing the control circuit fuse on startup. I don't recall having this problem before, so I am not sure where to start. I have looked for obvious shorts, but have not noticed any shorted wires, connections etc. I disconnected the coin acceptor and manually started washer with advance button....blown fuse. I believe coin acceptor is OK, what next?
Any and all help would be appreciated.

Disconnect wires going to the drain valve and replace the fuse and try again. The best way to do it so you don't waste fuses is to take a 75 -100 watt light bulb in a socket with alligator clips at the other end and attach it to the fuse holder in place of the fuse. When the light glows bright you have a short. When it is dim then you don't.

Again the most likely faults is the drain valve, door lock components and wiring. Contactor and water valve coils is also possible. But really it could be anywhere. Take off the front panel and look at the door lock assembly and check that. With the bulb it will allow you to remove wires while watching the how bight it glows. Sure beats wasting fuses.

Good luck!!!!!

Door Lock solenoid, odds are at 90%. Sometimes you can see the arcing on the coil.

Found the culprit, Shorted wire at the back of the selector switch, was grounding out against timer bracket. Lots of fuses later, wasn't comfortable with the light bulb thing..........
