I bought my mat 6 months ago and I set a goal of doing 800.00 more in sale that the previous owner and cut the over head as much as I can.
My goal was 6 months, as of today my goal was reached. Lot of hard work and a lot of good information from this board (MSK & Outlaw and others) to help fix my machines it all paid off.
When I bought the mat 8 out of 24 washers were dead and 6 out of 16 dryers were dead the dryers that worked were 30 year old green 50# SQ with pilot lights man were they burning the gas also with a time of 20 min. for 25 cents.
First thing I did was put the boiler on a timer not let it run 24 hours a day. Then I bought 8 adc dryers and with help from this board fixed the other SQ 30# that were not working that all cut my gas bill almost in half.
I now have 20 t/l washers 8 - 18# 4- 25# and 1--35# which I think is a good mix and 18 working dryers 10 min. 25 cent. I know I need more dryers but that is next.
Thanks coinwash.com for help in meeting my goal.

you are doing things right and hard work leads to success. If the other dryers do not have RAM units ( electronic ignitors) then that would be a good investment. Lighting is another area I have found a way to save money. All the stores have lots of timers :)

I bet you find as your business increases you will be updating the washer mix, trading in some of those tops for a few more bigger washers, 40's? a 50 maybe.. I did a little every year, after a few years it really starts to pay off.
