I am looking into buying a professional steamer, for my WDF customers. I have looked around and it seems that Jiffy is the brand to buy, unless someone knows a better brand I am all ears. Also need to know if anyone offers these to there regular coin cutomers to use for there personel use, and if so what about liabilty, and if it is just a free thing to offer as a added convienence, which is fine with me, customer service is everthing with us. I am really concerned about the liability, to many laywers in this country, should I be concerned?

I have a small 'portable' steamer out for customers to use free. On the wall is one of those big press boards where you press a lever with your foot and the top hanger clamp opens to hold your garment. Customers like it, two actually said this is why they come here. My attendants will go out there to use it on wdf.
Liability? signs that say not responsible for...........
Personal liability, not sure if small puffs of steam are more dangerous than a hotter, spinning dryer. In any case, my standard insurance covers all that.
Of course those bigger industry style press steamers are a different story.

How well does the steamer work for pants(i.e jeans)? Do you mainly use it for lighter close? In our market, we constantly get requests for pressing and "in-a-hurry". I'm curious as well what we should buy. we currently have 2 had presses, but we feel they are not designed for everyday use. we have returned several of them and are looking for something for commercial use.

I've never seen customers use it on jeans. Just shirts and light skirts, etc. And that is all that our wdf use it on. Its not industrial duty - sortof like a wallpaper steamer. Its fast and easy. Will use iron if customer really needs it.
My point is that do it yourselfers like it out there. Use every tool you can to get customers to come in.

Did some research online, and found all the prices the same, so the URL I have here seem to have all the types of steamers that, as far as I know are available, from Jiffy.
