FYI
Over last four months I have been buying Dependo drain valves and installing them in my Wasco Gen4 machines. They work great.

The original Wasco valves have lot of rusting problems where the base of the valve gets all rusted. Also Wascomat valves are diifcult to cleanout and are prone to get stuck in either open or closed position when they are clogged.

Dependo valve has all plastic housing and has ball valve which works like a charm.

In last four months I never had any problems with these Dependo valves and I assume clearing clogs would be easy as their housing is little bigger with easy access so you can actually put your hands in and clear out the garbage.

Have anyone used Dependo Valves? I would love to get feed back on their experience with these Drain Valves.

I have 5 W124's. 4 have Wasco valves and one has a Dependo that the old owner put in. Its the only valve that always plugs up, when I get a chance I will replace it with a Wasco valve, they are great and have very few problems.

It's funny - I have just the opposite problems. There hasn't been a week when Wasco Drain did not have a problem. The cycle time increases to one hour because it cannot close properly. The rusted screws are pain in the neck as it gets jammed and I have to drill them out. The rubber boots gets hard as rock from suds.
I have bottom half of the drain - the metal part totally rusted and actually cracking.

Sice I put in Dependo valves on some machines, it has never clogged, jammed or any other problems. I haven't had a need to open up those machine's front panel as of yet.

I will wait and see few more months to see how they perform.
