Does anyone use a Vacuum Cleaner to clean out the inner lint traps on a Wascomat Td30/30 Dryer?
And if so, What type of Vacuum Cleaner do you use?
Or do you have an recommendations for a Vacuum Cleaner?
Thanks!

Shop-vac. Don't bother with anything that has a bag, you'll fill it to fats!
we use crafstman vacuum with a 3" diameter hose. The shopvac's hose wasn't wide enough for the lint and it was constantly getting clogged.

I have a Lindhaus central vacuum for commerical use.
Soooo handy!
Yes,
I went to our local "big box" hardware store (reno depot)
and bought the top of the line shop-vac.
It came with 1.5 inch hose and a couple of fittings.
I wanted to buy additional attachments (to clean my TD-3030's)
I went back to the store to find that all their attachments are 1.25 inch or 2.5 inch !
No 1.5 inch fittings !! They don't stock them !!
What a way to run a business !!

I'm with Ajay: I use a Craftsman shop-vac with 3" hose -
The cannister is jammed full less than 2 weeks.
Mike, were those kiddie-dryers you were looking to clean with a 1.5" hose ? .... oh those must be 1.5 *Canadian* inches ;)

I also use a Shop vac and love it. I have a 3inch hose with a crevice tool to get into the corners behind the lint drawer. It really does a great job. The crevice tool gets clogged when there is a lot of lint but it is very easily controllable.

I seem to end up making my own tools.
For dryer cleaning, I duct tape a PVC pipe that fits in the Dexter Stack lint area to the shop vac (not sure of the size, but maybe 1.2 in"? maybe 1" cpvc. The pipe I cut a wide angle so can get the bottom area better. Not sure Home Depot has a big market for theese special tools, but I AM SURE the stock will go up after 10 BILLION $$ US dollars gets spent on home improvement via hurricanes this year....

Are you using it for simple lint screen cleaning, secondary lint screen cleaning, or general preventative maintenance all over the machine? I have yet to find anything other than a stiff brush to effectively clean the 2ndary lint screen.

I sort of fit pieces together with duct tape till they are the diameter I need. I think the vac is about 2 1/2". From there a 2 1/1" PVC , then a 2" CPVC, a 1" pvc. PVC is thin walled, CPVC is thick wall. As an afterthought now, I think a trip to a plumbing place, you could get reducers so the thing would be a little neater. I have to get way in back of the lint trays in the Dexters, so the 1" piece is very long, and I cut the end at a steep angle so when I stick it in the thing an vacum better
