My bank wants a proforma for a new small laundry I am considering building. Are there any examples of laundry proformas I can look at anywhere or can anyone provide me with guidelines for this purpose.

Your distributor can print one up for you. Thats what they're good at. They usually aren't close to accurate.

You will benefit greatly at educated your self on how to calculate and speculate a fairly accurate proforma. I use the term accurate loosely, because many factors beside the numbers in your market you might consider up for capturing will have alot to do on whether that "guesstimate" is close. By researching your market and competition as well as the demographic study and calcualting your own proforma the more you are prepared to pitch your bank. Yes, the distributors know the factors it takes and can pitch your bank, but they are salesman and thats their job to help you. Help your self first and do your homework in the business a little, it will only help you out. Good luck.

Your bank has no idea about thios business, so don't worry about being accurate, of course, it is your money going into the project..I will assume you think it is a good idea to put one in..
The bank wants basics.

cost of the deal.
machines, install, build out work, etc, the whole cost to make the mat operational, and how much of your own hard earned cash is going into the project.

Then, they want your estimate of revenue. You should be able to calculate this based on population density and competive factors, I assume you have already done so.
Take that reveune, then they want to see what it will cost you to operate.
water
electric
gas
rent
insurance
repairs
etc etc

add up the revenue, subtract the expense, the bank looks at what is left to pay them back.
It is not to hard, I did one of these when I was 17 and buying my first business. Just make it realistic.

I have an excel sheet given to me by a distributor to calculate performa. I would ask the distributor to do this for you. I got the application somewhere, I'll find it for you if you don't have any luck with them. my email address is laundryaj@yahoo.com - let me know.
