Somebody tried to break into our changer this week. They unscewed the faceplate and tried to pry the validator. Didn't get in but did damage. Also hit another laundry in town, too. According to Advance Changer they hit a slew of laundries all down I-5 from Olympia, WA to Bellingham, WA.

I also had some idiot drilling and crowbarring my wasco 74's with Set-O-Matic coin drops. Has only actually gotten 1 box of money but has done $$$ damage. Police not much help. Any body know about any covers, etc that would make these more secure?

Deter the stupid ones with cams eveywhere, the smart one will go somewhere else also,. You can post thier picts on the wall for added benfit..

Been ripped many times, I keep a watch on the mouse traps..

I would consider switching to a smart card system, it would save on repairs to the machines, and would probably pay for itself over time.
