Does anyone have any of the new G.E. Top loaders in there stores ? IM goin to a show that has these washers and im looking to buy them . Any suggestions ?
P.S. I bought 30 new G.E. top loaders in `99 and 25 TRANSMISSIONS and 21 timers later i had no problems with them.
I dont have a great taste in my mouth about G.E. but what ive read about there new washers, sounds great .

...Then let us know what you think of them after you have tried the new washers. The general consensus here is that they don't belong in a commercial setting - apartment complex - that's another store.

They supposedly made changes in their machines in 2003 that made them more durable for a coin store. I'm dubious, but you can ask them specifically what they did. And they introduced their 3.2 cubic foot stainless steel tub top load washer for laundromats. Can you imagine a top that big in your store? Not for me! My old 1996 "original" GE's just keep going. And their coin front loaders are home Frigidaire fronts with a coin slide and the GE name on them. There was a rumor floating around that they were going to either manufacture their own front loader or they would outsource them from a different company; that would be good to ask...

I just passed on buying a store that had 24 GE tops that are only two years old....only 11 of them are still in operation the other 13 are out of order.
The reason the 13 are down is 9 have bad pc boards at a cost of $480 each and the other 4 need motors and tranmissions I believe he said.

After I checked them out I probably would have junked all of them if I purchased the mat. You could tell by looking at them that they were very cheaply made.....

just my 2 cents...
