Im thining about changing prices on about 2-3 of my dryers , Im thinking of turning off the cool down time and label them as HOT HOT DRYERS , and make them run 12 minutes for 50 cents. whatcha think ?
Secondly i thought of Buying some of the Neptunes and charging $1.50 for them and keep my other toploaders at $1.25.
Ive just learned over the years ,that people like options..
Anothe option i considered is a all cold wash for a $1.00 , im full of ideas but has anyone actually tried any of these ?

I tried most of them.
Hot dryers, yes. I have my cool down set at 45 seconds. You can adjust it on non-computer ones also. People never complain about dryers, even if the stuff is not dry it is warm, so they feed more money. You can lower dry time by doing this. There is arisk of spontanious combustion, and wrinkle in peopels clothes, so far I have not had either in about 6 years.

Cold water only for cheap: yea, I had them, really, nobody seemed to care. It might work if you are nervous about raising prices, watch the usage. I have a store with 5 $1.75 tops and 1 $1.50 top, the last being an old one in the back. It is the least used machine. and it runs hot, warm, cold.

Neptunes will lower your water bill if they get decent use. Keep them priced like a top, you give almost double capacity for about 25 cent more, you save about 25 cent a cycle on water, so you make less money overall per pound of wash done but have a lower water bill. Still doing the math on them after a few years..

People may like options but I think they like it simple too....Too many options will confuse people....

remember KISS..

Simple is good , but if i didnt have a attendent on hand, i wouldnt consider any of these ideas.
A properly trained attendent could help out with these options :)

What about the liability of a 200 degree drum burning their hands?I guess it will be truth in advertising....I don't think I would try it.
