What brand and type washer are you buying?

All (well most) washers come without coin drops.
Whether a distributor "throws one in" is another matter.

You got one sly distrib! or smart, depending on how you look at it..
Mine deducted coin drops for the card system I am going to use. All the washers I ever bouight had a coin drop, a few even came with coin boxes ( Maytag)
Nothing is free. You are going to pay for the coin drop whether its included in the price or tacked on at the end. The distributor pays for coin drops so naturally he is going to pass it on to the buyer. Shop around and get the best value for your money. More importantly make sure the Distributor you buy from can back up his equipment with a parts warranty and Service Dept that has a good reputation. Don't get stuck with an empty warranty, one that you have to chase people down to get your equipment running again.

I have always had mine priced with coin drops, but the statements above are correct. You can get them without, and pay less. On the other hand, for your distributor to quote a price and then add on coin drops is not really kosher in my book. Coin boxes are usually extra.
