What is the average commission for Soda Machines? Here, Pepsi is the bigger seller, and won't pay as high a commission. I receive
Pepsi - $7.70 a case/24
Coke - $ 9.36 case/24
This is for full service. They provide the machines and stock them, collecting all the money.
I'll start two polls, one for Pepsi, One for Coke

Your lucky, Pepsi here paid $4.80 when I put in my own machine a year ago and replaced Pepsi.

My brother is a vending guy and the most popular percentage is 20% of gross sales, however, a high traffic area could negotiate as high as 30%. I negotiated a deal of 23% at one time.

I get 25% of gross provided 10 cases are sold per month. If less, I get nothing... but this has never happened. Originally I was quoted 25%, but noticed that the checks were for 23.7%. Something about "taxes". I explained that 25% of gross was promised, and that is what I expected. Now I get the full 25%.

There is at least a 45% profit rate if you purchase the coke/pepsi from a local distrib and fill the machine up yourself. It takes very little effort, and storage room does not have to be big. We stored at least 50 cases in the office a small room.

sorta related, perhaps can strike some sort of a deal on this basis. Before I put in my own soda case I had the following with coke:
12oz cans, price=.75
my commitment: purchase 6cs/mo @7.00, and pay 4/50/mo maint fee.
I had control of the machine, keys etc, and could load as much of my own coke product I purchased myself on top of the 4 cases.
I pay avg/3.00 for 12 cans=6.00/cs so my real cost was
4.00(the 1.00 extera a case), plus the 4.50/mo maint..... 8.50/mo for the use fo their machine.
Problem was, coke couldnt supply all of my needs and the machine only had 8 selections. Now I have a 24 selection cooler case and can put whatever I want. FYI I am attended so this wont work for everyone.

I used to have Pepsi (they provided the machine and I ordered from them and stacked it myself)...when they raised prices on the 20 oz bottles, I dropped them and went with a local soda route company. It's nice to support the other small businesses in town I think and they put whatever sells best in the machine now (Coke and/or Pepsi products). They stock and take care of everything with the machine and I get 26.6% of gross.

That's not a bad deal.
The bottle drinks from Pepsi and Coke sell for $1 each. It looks like my deal is pretty good. Guess I won't complain.
We sell the 12Oz cans for 50 cents in one store, and 60 in the other. Maybe I should raise the price to 75

Raise the price to $.75 per 12 oz can. People will buy as a matter of convenience. Same principle as the soaps. My mat is next door to a large grocery store. This store has 4 soda vending machines within 30 feet of my mat's front door. They even have one store brand machine selling the sodas for $.25. I put my coke machine in at $.75 per can and sell very well at 60% margin.
