View Full Version : Pay the Piper Day
If you are self employed full time do you wait for the 15th? I always send mine in on the 14th of April (today). Why pay early? I get a kick out of the people who get a big refund and say how great it is to get so much back. If you get $5000.00 back, it only means that you lent Uncle Sam $5000.00 for most of the year with no interest.

While that is true, It is nice to get a big check. While its true its a interest free loan to the gov't, most people would spend it frivolously if they did received the extra money each paycheck.

That is true. Its just like the morons who open Christmas Clubs or put items on layaway. Most people have no self control when it comes to money.

I have a buddy who had to have his car towed by AAA yesterday. Reason: fuel filter clogged up.
Real reason: he runs around on empty, never put more than $2 in it at on time, to big of an investment.
Some people just are not good with money, other don't have enough money to be good with:)

I agree - I never want a refund, I want the government to have given me an interest free loan on the money I owe them. Just have to be careful to prepay enough to avoid penalties. I filed very early this year - April 13th!
