View Full Version : Receipts
What type of sales books etc. do you use to fill out a receipt for WDF orders? How many copies do you make (one for customer, record book etc) Do you order these from a company and have the name address etc. printed on them, or buy blank ones from the store.

We had a three part ticket. All tickets were numbered and every ticket was accounted for. Customer received a ticket at drop off to show at time of pick up, we retained the master portion and the customer also received a payment paid portion of the ticket if they chose to after payment was made.
The tickets were puchased through Liberty I believe that was a partner with our soap distrib. Phoenix Supply
Every ticket number was recorded with the name of customer, sale amount and cost of doing laundry. The costs were audited and the sales calculated from this slip. The ticket numbers remained in sequential order throughtout the ledger book. All pickups were initialed by the attendant on duty who received the customer payments. Sales were entered into a cash register and sales were audited several ways

I use generic ticket books from Sam's.
The one's with carbonless copies. We also log each WDF sale into a log book and mark it on a daily log sheet. The log book keeps track of customer preferences (downy/no downy, hot, cold washes), Name, and phone number. Also when laundry is washed vs when it's picked up.
Daily log sheet shows number of washers used, lbs and logs amount paid on the day it's picked up.
