Coin box alarms

How do you wire the coin boxes into the alarm system? Are there any hasps or additional security out there for coin boxes?

At each machine you would wire and install a switch to the vault box such that when the box is installed is closes the circuit. Each switch is wired is series and a end of line resistor is placed at the last piece of equipment in the line. This line is then placed on a empty zone on you alarm panel. Depending on the manufacturer the EOL resistor will vary. You will have to have the panel reprogrammed to respond accordingly and notify the central station of the changes made and action to take if this new zone is violated.

Some newer washers and dryers have a switch already installed for vault viewing or auditing of collection but most people never use it. You could certainly jump the wires and reuse the switch for the alarm. Again this would depend on you equipment.
While certainly possible, is it worth the trouble?
