dry and fold

occassionly i have customers come in with already laundered clothes and they want us to dry and fold---how much would you charge for this service, if any of you have come across this??a percentage of your w/d/f price??

We have had this a few times. We charge the same .90 cents a pound. Weigh them after they are dry.

We charge the same as WDF.... sorry no discounts here...
and we weight them when we receive them (wet)..

We had a lot of this kind of customers. Some requested dry and fold, and some requested fold only. Most of our customers cannot afford the full price of drop off service. Therefore, we provided you wash, we dry. Or you wash, you dry and we fold service. We did not have set price for this kind of service. We just let the customers pay attendants tip. Sometimes the tips were fair, but sometimes the tips were almost nothing. But hey this was what attendant got, not me.

If they wash it, we won't touch it - too much potential liability there. Who knows what they put in the washer. Once you accept it you may end up eating the cost of ruined items. Its too easy for someone to scam you that way. The only time the attendant will do something for someone that washes themselfs is if they know the customer really really well, then they might offer to take it out of a washer and throw it in the dryer if the person leaves their laundry card, but they are informed that it is at their own risk.

Also, if the stuff was washed elsewhere, "their" washers may not have spun out the clothes to the same level as your washers, thereby necessitating longer drying times for you.

We offer fold only service @.50/lb

They must wash here and dry here, or load in the dryer themselves and give us the .25 to pump in the dryer.

Cost of the dryer plus 2.00 for folding a Neptune load, or 4.00 to fold a load from a large machine. 6.00 if we're doing one of the 80lb'der.

Items must be washed in the store.
