When a Nept 14 didn,t spin out it normally was the unbalance switch or the door lock switch. Loose wire or a bad switch. The third thing was a bad pump. Does the same thing apply with the Nept 21's? Are the switches in the same spot? There isn't any water in the drum, but the clothes are soaked. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Go to the help mode and find out what were the last 3 codes stored? 31 or 33?

Marc,

I am not sure how to get into the help mode. Also after reviewing the service manual, I did not see a code 31 or 33. What do they indicate, a pump problem or an off balance switch problem? Like I mentioned the off balance switch on the 14's was below the tub. Where is the switch located on the 21's? I did notice while running a test that the machine does not go into spin on the board,. It stays in rinse spin and just rotates. Clothes come out ringing wet with no water in the drum.

Thanks,

BWJR

Open the vault door and push the woolen button until you get to 2.00 (Special Pricing) then push the "PP" button. Then use the woolen key again to step through the help codes.

Is the basket even turning at all? If not then you will most likely you have a bad motor controller, which is actually a good thing because if it is the old style unit you'll be getting the new style unit which is much better unit. You will have to replace the motor also, as the new controller is not compatible with the old SRD motor.

If it is turning in was but doesn't spin then I would check out the operation of the door lock switch, again in test mode. If the door lock comes on in the display then the lock sense switch is working. Please do not confuse this with the door lock displayed in the operational mode. Door lock in operational mode is useless. It just tells you that the door should be locked.

Marc,

It was the un-balance switch at the bottom of the basket. The switch was stuck and consequently the washer would not go into spin. Once I pushed it in and out a few times the machine ran fine. If there is a problem I have had with all these Neptunes, 14's and 21's its been this switch. Why? Is it a poor design or an over used part? Thanks for the info Marc.
