I recently came across the CLA's 2003 coin laundry survey while researching the coin laundry industry for a school/intern project, and one section of it lists the type and size of machines that could be found in the "typical" coin laundry (altho' i'm not sure if there is such a thing after reading many of your posts). The categories were:
Top Load ~12lbs
Front Load 18lbs
27
30
35
40
50
55
70
Tumble dryers
18
30
50
75
Does anyone here know what the average price (based on the most popular brands) might be for the machines in each category? unfortunately, distributors have been less than helpful since i'm only looking for information and not actually looking to buy.
thanks in advance for any help,

Its roughly .10 per pound capacity of each washer.
Top load, 12lb machine usually between 1.25-1.50
18lb= 1.75 25=2.50 35=3.50 etc.........
Dryers most have been 7.5 -8 minutes or less pper quarter.
Brand doesn't matter......in this situation size does.........

thanks for the quick response Kitty, but i'm trying to find out more about the actual purchase price of the machine as opposed to its vend price. is there some sort of average purcahse price for a machine in each category (at least for the more popular brands?)?
thanks again for any help ot my quesition :)

Roughly $100 - $125 per pound of rated capacity. An 18# double load washer would price between $1800 - $2250. That price may or may not include tax, freight, delivery and/or installation.

PeterH- thanks for the response. it'll help a lot.
Pete F- it's a marketing project that's trying to assess the size and value of entire US coin laundry market. i suppose it's a combination of market research and strategic marketing. altho' i'm still pretty far from drawing any sound conclusions, i'd be happy to let you know what i find out, when i find it out. :)

I, or should I say we (members) would like to know the name of the school you go to please?
Seems like you should post your paper here too.
Let us grade your school/intern project.
