You forgot the Speed Queen/Hubsch.
ADC made 4,5 different model stack dryers.

Somebody should point out to newbie prospective buyers that:

Wascomat is actually ADC (currently)
Wascomat used to be Huebsch

Maytag is actually ADC (currently)

Continental is actually Dexter (currently)

...and where is lonely old Cissell ? Certainly no beauty queen, but fans, i.e. owners, seem to be dedicated.
(i think of them as the Studebaker of Dryers)

Wascomat made their own stack now TD 30 30.
Continental could be ADC or Dexter.
Anyway, only 4 companys still make 30# dryers for coin op market,SQ,ADC,Wascomat,Dexter, othetr companys bought dryers from them.

Folks,

On this and similar threads, statements have been made to the effect that dryer XX is really made by Company YY, and that the only difference is sticking a different label on the back of the machine.

A question for those who might really know (MSK, and others...):
Is this an accurate assumption - especially with dryers manufactured in the last 4 or 5 years? Or are there significant, or subtle, engineering differences between machines manufactured in the same plant, but bearing different manufacturer labels?

Thanks in advance...

Walter

I'd recommend really old speedqueen stacks, interspersed with really old speedqueen single pocket dryers.

Oh wait a minute, that's what I have.

Happy new years and enjoy your upcoming new equipment,

John in Illinois
