SQ dryers giving away free time

These SQ dryers are set up to take dimes for 3 minutes and 7.5 minutes for a quarter. Every once in a while they will beep and add time without any money being out in. Sometimes they will give the 3 minutes and other times the 7.5. What s wrong with these and how to fix it. Thanks

Do these dryers have optical sensors for the coin or switches. If optical switches make sure theyare clean of lint causing them to trigger by the lint/dust.

Use to have a SQ 35 that would give up a few free washes per day. Customers would flock to this machine. I saw one customer load the machine and repeatedly open/close the door for over an hour in hopes of getting a free wash. LOL customer would call this their lucky lotto machine, but coin collects were more than any other 35lb.

BWP, you might have a flaky computer board.

If it's a computer run, it may be programmed to do a 'special' or 'lucky' vend every so many turns. You'll have to check with the programming manual.

Had a SQ 27 lb washer that would give a wash if you bumped the top or just set a basket on the top. A lead from the sensor on the coin drop was loose where it connects to the board behind the front panel.

I would get rid of the dime part, at least that will solve half your problems, and you don't have to mess with mixed coins in the boxes.
