Has anyone seen these new Maytags? Saw one at Home Depot yesterday. They are top load without an agitator, look like you opened up a stainless beach ball. Two dishes on the bottom corners roll the clothes around. says 850 rpm spin.

No, I haven't seen them yet, but it sounds similar to a Staber design. Anyone have one of those?

No, the new Neppy TL is more like the WP Calypso. Revolving disks embedded in the wash tub turn and flip the load while the wash water is recirculated from above. Nice idea, I give Maytag an A+ for innovation, but I tend to doubt how well it will clean. Simply rolling the load over while showering it might not be the best agitation method. With the Claypso, the load is bounced and probably comes cleaner. The problem with this machine is that a low sudsing HE detergent is required, due to the recirculating feature.
