Standard Change-Maker’s original models of Economy Changers (EC), which included the Bill-to-Bill Exchanger (BX1000 and BX1000RL) introduced in early 2001, were susceptible to the same stringing losses that other change machine manufacturers have endured with the Coinco™ Bill Acceptor. We noticed the increase in Coinco stringing complaints and designed a new control board in September 2001 that incorporated a new Fast Vend Shut-Off feature and MDB communication mode.

The Fast Vend Shut-Off feature will not stop the acceptor from being strung, but it will shut the machine down -- if a dollar limit is exceeded within a specified time period. Both the dollar amount and time limit are pre-programmed by the owner.

Further, the MDB (Multi-Drop Bus) communication mode has allowed us to use more advanced bill acceptors that have additional anti-stringing features above the original “pulse” type note acceptors. These two enhancements have saved many of our customers hundreds of dollars in losses due to theft over the last two years.

In addition, we have sought out other OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) acceptor manufacturers; such as CashCode, Mars and Pyramid, to be able to offer our customers a choice of reliable, secure acceptors.

All of our EC line of changers can be updated using the new technologies we currently offer. I would suggest you contact me by phone or e-mail to discuss what Standard Change-Makers can offer to increase the security of your machine.

To the Standard bashers..... Where is your change machine rep?
Mr Kious is here answering the hard questions and helping his customers with their problems. Where is your rep.? Give it a rest and give Mr Kious his due for being here and helping.
